My Golden Retriever nearly killed my mini pin.
I brought my mini pin to the vet. Now he's in critical condition after having sutures on different parts of his body.
I really don't know if he's going to survive this.
The thing that bothers me is why did she do it? They have been together several months already. And they get along really well.
It also worries me because I have 2 children ages 6 and 8 who loves to play with my Retriever.
She's a very playful dog. and she love's to play with the children also.
Any theories on why she did it? Huh??
I need answers pls.

my tita's GR mix had attacked her doxie... even though the two used to be together...

pero may reason... pregnant pala yung GR mix... kaya ganun... hormonal cguro...

the doxie had 15 stitches and still under observation...

My Mini Pin's doing fine. I think he's going to survive. So I keep them away form each other.

anyway I just want to ask what happened prior to their fights? did the minipin provoked the gr? Friends who own GR were asking me about this incident... They just said that GR is still a dog who bites when threatened.. so even if GR is the kindest breed that we know, it is still a possibility..... they said small breed normally provokes fights

comment lang... palagay ko din naprovoke ng minpin mo yung GR... you see... these little dogs have enormous energy walang paglagyan kaya kumukulit... ewan just read somewhere... may studies tungkol sa kanilang kakulitan... i remember my small dog before na sobrang kulit.. tulog na gsd.. kinukulit pa...

They were doing fine prior to the fight, they are not the best of friends but I see them playing from time to time. There was no provocation, hindi naman sila naglalaro that time. I was playing with the GR before it happened, then the Mini Pin tried to jumped into my lap, tapos yun na, kinagat na. Could it be possible na nagselos yung GR?  Anyway, a day after the incident, I found out na nag heheat pala GR ko. I really don't know.

The Mini Pin had an infection, I had to bring him back my vet. He had another operation, this time, the vet advised me to leave him in his clinic. So far, he's doing fine. After he gets better, adopt na sya nong vet ko. I think it's the best course of action, my vet will take good care of him. Na kaka miss lang, my children loves that dog. Anyway, we're doing it because we love him.

Hello tigas;

pano nya kinagat ang minipin? as-in parang maul nya? galit? growling while tearing the minipin apart?

for my experience seloso ang GR, dito sa akin, when a puppy comes near me, humaharang ang GR ko in between us, pero ginagawa nya, nilalaro nya yung mga puppy, kinakagat nya o sinusubo ang katawan or ulo para pigilan.. the usual na dog picking up with each other..

or when, eating at aagawan sya ng mga puppy ng food sa bowl nya, he would growl and attack as if he is going to bite the puppy but fake gesture lang, di naman nya talaga attack..

it's so sad that it happened, sana ma correct ang attitude ng GR mo.. very unlikely kase, napaka bait ng dog breed na ito.  Smiley
